NOTW: Missha Crystal Polish in Purple

Haven't done a NOTW in a while.. I forced myself to not paint my nails until exams finished, so for two weeks during the exam period, this is what I wore:

NOTW: Essie's Mint Candy Apple 2.0

So the other day, I felt a little bored so I decided to paint my nails in 3 alternating colours and then put Rimmel's Disco Ball glitter on top. I figured I'd be stuck at home for the next week, so it wouldn't even matter. BUT I forgot that my extended family was coming over the next day, and since they are very conservative and old fashioned, I had to take it all off the morning right before they headed over. So right after they left, I needed to paint my nails to hide my yellow finger tips (yep, still yellow! but slowly growing out!) so I used Essie's Mint Candy Apple. And I figured since last time, the image wasn't too good, I'd give the picture-taking another go.
So the other day, I felt a little bored so I decided to paint my nails in 3 alternating colours and then put Rimmel's Disco Ball glitter on top. NOTW: Sportsgirl Nude

I've been feeling a little boring with nails lately, all I really want to paint my nails is black, grey or brown. I don't own brown or grey (I'm broke!) and black is too depressing, I just went with a nude. I still have a horrible yellow stains on my nails which is slowly growing out, which is why I can't leave it bare... So here's Sportsgirl's Nude. A badly and quickly done mani.

NOTW time!
Spring is well and truly here, and the days are heating up like crazy! As much as I was ready to leave behind greys, blacks and navy, I am dreading the insane heat of the summer. Especially the days where its close to 40 degrees outside, your feet burn just from standing on the concrete (in your flip flops) and the nights are way too hot to sleep, so you spend the night tossing, turning and sweating until the sun rises and you give up and get ready for the day. But I have missed bright, warm, vibrant colours, and the sun and the warmth so its nice. It actually got a little too humid for my liking the past two days, but what can you do?
So when I paint my nails, I like to coordinate with the weather. If its sad and rainy, I like to paint my nails a littl darker, and when its hot and sunny, like now, I like to be bright, summery and happy. So this weeks NOTW is grass by Rimmel.

Apologies again for the poor effort on my blogging! I'm trying really hard to stick to the minimum one-per-weekend promise, which means, unfortunately, very quick posts. Aaaaand... here's another one. (Sorry! Promise to make up for it during the hols! I might sit down one day and paint my nails every colour haha)

NOTW Part 2: Disco Ball

I did a post yesterday with Rimmel's Sunshine yesterday, and I added a little glitter on top. It's Rimmel's Disco Ball, with large blue and purple glitter and very fine silver too in a clear polish base. I love it!

Unfortunately, I'm only going to do a quick NOTW because I used up all my seche vite top coat, and I ordered a new one over a month ago but still have not received it =( so the polish looks dodgy (hence why I only have a blurry pic of it). This is my own photo.

Unfortunately the polishes I ordered two weeks ago, still haven't arrived =( neither has my little NYX batch!
As soon as they do, I'm definitely doing hauls! YAY!

I used to be obsessed with painting my nails, and I would probably change my nail colour twice a week. And then I slowly got lazier and lazier, and would sometimes only paint my nails every once a week, and now every 2-3 weeks. But to keep it simple, I won't do a "Nail of the Day" (NOTD) because I don't change my nails every day (and I know people who do NOTD, don't change their nails everyday either). But I'm going to use "Nail of the Week" (NOTW) just because its a little more realistic for me. I wanted to create a new title for this, but to be honest, I can't really be bothered. I'm not very creative, so I will end up spending hours on Google, and Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com trying to find something clever. And plus NOTD is practically universal, so NOTW should be kind of easy to transition into right?
