China Glaze Haul & Swatches: Part 1

Hi! =)

This haul will be broken up into different parts. I will try to release each blog post soon after the other, so check back if you are interested in the rest of the Let It Snow collection.

China Glaze Haul
The China Glaze polishes "hauled" and up for review:
  • Poinsetta (Part 1)
  • Twinkle Light (Part 1)
  • Holly-Day (Part 1)
  • Glittering Garland (Part 1)
  • Icicle (Part 1)
  • Champagne Bubbles (Part 1)
  • Blue Year's Eve (Part 2)
  • Snow Globe (Part 2)
  • Ring in the Red (Part 2)
  • Velvet Bow (Part 2)
  • Peachy Keen (Part 2)
  • Hey Sailor (Part 2)
  • Something Sweet (Part 2)
Finally getting around to doing this haul! Super excited, as I ordered three micellaneous China Glaze polishes a few weeks ago, and then kind of spontaneously ordered 4 of the sets from the new China Glaze Let It Snow Christmas collection.

There were a few particulates I wanted, but in the end, it was such an amazing deal, I could not pass it up! In total I spent about $85, including shipping, postage, EVERYTHING for ALL these polishes. It works out to be about $6 per polish, I think, which is a HUGE bargain, considering how difficult it is to purchase within Australia. I would normally pay at least $10 to $12 for a China Glaze polish. So, like I said, HUGE bargain!
China Glaze Let It Snow Christmas Collection
This is the first Christmas that I have actually cared about nail polishes, and actually understood the concept of the Christmas Collection. Unfortunately, again, in Australia, Christmas is celebrated during the summer months, so these nail polishes aren't exactly suited for the summer. Nonetheless, they are gorgeous colours! The greens and reds are definitely Christmas in a bottle!
China Glaze Season Sparkles Set
This is the first set of the collection. It contain three polishes, pictured and described below!

This first one is a typical deep red. Its a lovely colour but is very similar to Sportsgirl's Tomato nail polish. The second is a glitter polish with a clear base, and a mix of small-ish green and red glitter. I also put it over some black nail polish to see what effect that would give:
Center: China Glaze Twinkle Lights over Sportsgirl Ink.
I definitely prefer the glitter polish over a base like this one, it really brings out the colours of the glitter.

Next up:
China Glaze Holiday Spirits
This set comes with three polishes and a pewter cork bottle stopper. Its cute, but I have no use for it =/

This one comes with Glittering Garland, a deep Christmas-y tree green with green glitters to match. Its a dark colour and definitely better for the wintertime. The second is a metallic silver. I have never been a fan of metallic polishes, but this one definitely changed my mind. Its a pure, clean silver metallic polish and I can't wait to do accent nails with this polish! So gorgeous! The last one in this collection is Champagne Bubbles, a metallic gold, which again is not something I typically like, but find this one to be gorgeous! And the bottle does not do the colour justice, but when swatched, it also has tiny silver glitters spread throughout it.

Part 2 coming soon!
