Update

It's been a loooong time. I'm not sure what I want to do with this blog anymore. Should I be posting more reviews? More NOTW posts? Or more random posts?

I would love to do a little collection of all my nail polishes. I saw a little questionnaire/survey today asking people how many nail polishes they own. Some said a few, like 20-30. A few 60's. And then the rest were 200-300 bottles each. I counted up mine, I have about 60. I feel like my collection is pretty complete, but there's always more colours to be added. I also found today a place where I can buy China Glaze nail polishes for extremely cheap without having to pay postage or wait 3 weeks for them to arrive from America. I expect a large growth in the polish purchases department, and a plateau in every other area including food, drink, clothes, jewellery...

Anyways what was my point again? Oh yeah, I didn't have one. Oops.

New Facebook Page

Hi!

It's been awhile since I last posted here, but sorry to say, this one will be a short one. Unfortunately, my old facebook page I used to sell items locked me out, so now I have made a new page. Please help me out by "liking" it and maybe buy something? (If you're in Australia).

Tips for Posting Parcels

Hi!

A while ago, I spent about a month working in a parcel facility, sorting parcels to post them to the right regions, states and countries. I know the postal system here has a bad reputation with parcels, and working the facility, I learnt a few tricks that will reduce the likelihood of receiving damaged parcels, and also increase the chances of actually getting your parcel. Most of these may seem obvious, but you'd be surprised at the number of lost or damaged parcels. So, in no particular order, tips for posting parcels:

Another Wishlist?

Yeap. Another wishlist. For NAIL POLISH! *duh*

Okay, this is just a fun post for me to remind myself what colours I am lacking in my collection, instead of continuing to buy similar colours that have a slightly greener tone than one I already have *cough essie cough*.

Note: All these pictures are not mine, probably taken from Google, because I don't have these colours.

1) White
Not sure if I really needed a photo, but I think photos make blogs a little easier to handle. Anyways, I am lacking in white nail polish. I have White Shatter (obviously not the same) and I have a small sample of Seche Porcelain which I try not to use too often because of the warning about birth defects on the bottle. SO ANYWAYS, white polish. This photo is OPI's Alpine Snow.

2) Dark Blue

I am on the lookout for a dark, deep blue for my collection. This particular one is OPI's Roadhouse Blues, I think from the Touring America collection.

3) Army Green

I have recently been loving this colour, esp now that winter is slowly setting in. This one is OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window.

4) Bronze

I have a gorgeous silver in my collection and now I really want a bronze! This one is OPI Brisbane Bronze

5) Rose Gold

I have been loving the rose gold trend, I've especially been wanting a rose gold bangle. Let me know if you see one! Anyway I spotted this in Missha a few days ago, it is one of their crystal stone polishes in orange. Unfortunately, I don't like the chunky glitter too much, but the colour of the "stones" in the polish are so gorgeous, I really want it! This is Missha Crystal Polish in "Orange".

These are just 5 that I would love right now. I feel like I have quite a collection of nail polishes already, but I do love to add more.

Winter Wishlist!

Hi!

Winter is slowly creeping in on us in Sydney, the days are getting shorter, the nights a little colder... In fact, today was the one day of the year where the daytime hours equal the nighttime hours.

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to make a list of all the things I want for this winter. I've already seen a few trends popping up which I love.

Note: I'm not taking credit for any of these photos, since I don't own any of the items. They'll probably be pulled from Google.

Coloured Denim:

All through summer, I was dying to get my hands on a pair of coloured jeans, but I never really got around to it. Plus I hate wearing any kind of pants in the summer heat, and denim is probably one of the worse materials you could be wearing. (Second, to leather.) I love the look of the jeans rolled up slightly too high and if you've got great legs, these jeans are incredibly flattering. These two colours, the maroon and the dark blue-greeen, are my favourites too this winter, I've been looking to pick up a few accessories in these colours. I've seen a lot of mustard too, but it doesn't excite me the way these two colours do.
(For reference, I got these pics from CottonOn.com. They're $39.95 each.)

Leopard Print

I have been loving the leopard print trend but unfortunately I haven't had the balls to pull this off yet. I'm looking to start small, maybe a scarf or even a bodycon skirt in leopard. My usual winter uniform consists of a dark jacket, a black bodycon skirt, tights and an alternation between black flats or black boots. So I really think some leopard would really help me put some colour in my black uniform.

Ankle Boots

As I said before, I usually switch out my footwear between flats and boots. This season I'm gonna be on the hunt for ankle boots. I love the way they look, especially the one with the sky-high heels. But I'm looking to be a little for practical, and looking for ankle boots with a riding boot style, like the second image. I love the low heel, which obviously means comfort, and I would love to wear this with skirts and stockings.

(Both these shoes are from Rubi Shoes and are $39.95 each).

Nude Flats

I've never really owned a pair of nude flats, and I am in need of some simple black flats too, butfor some reason I feel like its time to splurge on a pair of elegant, classy, simple nude flats. (Hopefully without doing too much damage to my bank account.)

(This pair is from PeepToeShoes.com.au, $179 each.)

So that's my wish list for this coming season!

Blog Sale?

Hi =)

I know, I know. Looooong time. It was just hard for me to try and find new things to talk about, so I just wasn't into it.

Anyways, I'm thinking about having a blog sale? I don't know how it'll work out, or how it'll go. It will, unfortunately, only be for people with an Australian residence. And I will only be taking paypal payments, and you will need to pay for postage. Items may be slightly used, but mostly new and very cheap! Let me know if you are interested!

Thanks! xx

Review and Swatches: NYX Eye Pencils In Sapphire and Emerald City

Hi =)

I love the coloured eyeliner look, but I have to admit, I don't have the audacity to wear it out. Despite mylack of courage, I bought two eyeliners from NYX to motivate and inspire myself to maybe wear it a bit more.

NYX Eye Pencil in Sapphire and Emerald City
NYX Eye Pencil in Sapphire and Emerald City
Originally, I bought only the one Sapphire colour. Its so gorgeous and pigmented and I loved it. I wore it once, with a small black wing on the top lashes, and the sapphire on my lower tightline and absolutely loved it. From afar, it looks very dark, almost black, but upclose you can see the depth of the blue with is gorgeous. I wish I had coloured eyes which would look amazing with these!

Tumblr.

Hi =)

Sorry for being MIA the past two weeks.. I just started work and on top of that, my internet has been at full capacity, so I pretty much had zero access. It was a real workout just to get access to my emails.
Also I've decided that I'm going to  be moving to tumblr. I've never used it before, but I really want to try it out. If you are interested, then follow me =)

http://polishedandpurple.tumblr.com/

I may or may not come back here. Let's see how tumblr works out =)
